About

I have been an avid astronomy enthusiast since childhood and in the last decade I have expanded my knowledge in the area of amateur astronomy considerably. I have experience in Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes with a special emphasis on astrophotography and the associated hardware, software as well as post production techniques.

I started Seabrooke.Astronomy to help coordinate my thoughts and online postings of astrophotography as well as introducing others to what I find to be a fascinating and rewarding hobby. I view the hobby holistically without a stringent list of things to be accomplished during a observation session. This holistic approach means I begin with a rough plan but if things change I am not averse to being flexible. I may start out wanting to image M31 but wind up recalibrating some hardware instead. I just roll with it.
